The Order of the Chalice and the Serpent is an umbrella for both the Grail Tradition and The Antonian line of Traditional Hereditary Stregheria/Stregoneria. Both are separate magickal systems and both function under two different Groves. The Temple of the Crescent Moon follows the Grail Tradition and Ouroborus follows the Antonian Line of Stregoneria.
 
The name of our order has a mystical significance to us. The Chalice, which has been called by many other names throughout the aeons (the Grail, Cauldron, Womb of the Mother), represents the essence of the Divine Feminine. Within it, is the elixir of life itself - the mystery of mysteries. She is the Divine Abyss where all things are known. She represents the blood that flows within our veins.
 
The Serpent represents the essence of the Divine Masculine. The Great Horned God “The Lightbearer” in all his many names and manifold attributes. He is the Master of the Wild Hunt, the Lord of Wisdom and Misrule, the Guardian of the Abyss and the doorway between dimensions. He represents the universal soul or spirit that animates us. He is freedom from oppression and subservience and in his ancient guise has bestowed upon us the freedom following our true will.
